How did Home Aloners start?

Home Aloners was started in the small but energetic village of Blewbury in south Oxfordshire, by desk-top publisher Stephen Gaymer, who, like many others these days, works from home.

In May 1996 thirteen people who met the condition of 'not having a Christmas Party to go to' responded to an advert placed in the local freesheet, the 'Blewbury Bulletin', and met for lunch at the Red Lion, Blewbury. Home Aloners was born.
